My Approach

I work to support clients in building on their innate strengths to move towards healing and transformation. My approach draws from Internal Family Systems, attachment focused therapy as well as somatic psychotherapy.

I believe that many of the problems that bring people to therapy have roots in adaptations that helped us get through life’s challenges. Together we work to build compassion for our adaptive responses, and transform what no longer serves us.

Training and Experience

I have training in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, a body-oriented talk therapy, as well as Internal Family Systems therapy. Additionally, I have training in psychodynamic psychotherapy, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and in the treatment of Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders.

With over 10 years in the field, I have experience in a range of settings. Most recently, I have been a staff therapist at Downtown Psychological Services. I have also worked at the Safe Horizon Counseling Center, providing therapy to adult and child survivors of trauma, and at the Karen Honey Clinic, providing psychodynamic psychotherapy.
