Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) in New York
In my practice I offer a unique and innovative approach to healing through Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP). Traditional psychotherapy methods may not always provide the breakthroughs needed for deep healing, especially for individuals struggling with treatment-resistant conditions such as depression, anxiety, and PTSD.
Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy is a cutting-edge treatment modality that combines the therapeutic benefits of psychotherapy with the transformative properties of ketamine, a medication long used in anesthesia and pain management. In a controlled and supportive environment, I work to guide clients through introspective and healing experiences.
Unlike traditional antidepressants and other medications, ketamine works rapidly to alleviate symptoms, often providing relief after just a few sessions. Moreover, ketamine's unique mechanism of action targets glutamate receptors in the brain, promoting neuroplasticity and facilitating the formation of new neural connections, which can lead to profound and lasting psychological growth.
During Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy sessions, clients may experience a range of sensations, emotions, and insights as they explore their inner landscape. Along the way, I offer a space for clients to process these experiences, integrate newfound insights, and develop coping strategies for navigating life's challenges.
